Beeston look to retain their place at the top of the table.

“The longer we go unbeaten in the league, the harder it will be to keep that up"
- Steve Hyde

Beeston F.C. go into their seventh league fixture of the season sitting top of the Nottinghamshire Senior League Division One having scored twenty and conceded just six goals this season.

Last time out, Beeston produced a dominant attacking performance to come away with a 7-1 win thanks to goals from Nathan Hodges, Tom Coupe, Henry Sainsbury, Paul Ireson and a Ben Knight hattrick as they bounced back from their cup defeat to FC Sez.

Josh Streeter’s side remain unbeaten in the league, and Saturday’s opponents Radford Reserves will be vying to be the first team this season to claim Beeston’s scalp.

Here’s what Beeston coach Steve Hyde had to say ahead of this weekend’s fixture:

“We’re delighted with last week's win, it’s always good to get 3 points on the board away from home, especially as far away as Kirton. Because of the way the fixtures have worked out, we've now played Kirton twice and scored 11 against them, which obviously helps our goal difference.”

“We know what the squad is capable of when they are on form, but hopefully the game against Sez was a wakeup call that we can't take things for granted.”

“It's been fantastic to see Henry [Sainsbury] back in the squad and playing football again after such a serious injury, and after his assist for Ben Knight in the game against Hucknall, Ben returned the favour against Kirton for Henry's first since the injury. Hopefully a sign of more to come as Henry returns to top form.”

“The longer we go unbeaten in the league, the harder it will be to keep that up, as more teams will be looking to be the ones to break that run, so every game from here on in will need us to be focused on the result.”

Kick-Off: 2:00pm
Location: Trent Vale Ground, Trent Vale Road, NG9 1ND
